SMH Welcome’s New Year’s Baby

Colton McGillvary and Jamie Secord-Abate welcomed daughter Jamie just after midnight at Stevenson Memorial Hospital.

Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) announced the delivery of their first baby of the New Year on Friday, January 1, 2016.

Proud first time parents, Jamie Secord-Abate and Colton McGillvray welcomed baby Annabelle. Her arrival at 12:25AM gave her the status of first baby born at SMH in 2016.  She weighed 3850 grams (8 pounds and 8 ounces). The attending physician (OBGYN) was Dr. Olupona along with nurses Judith Andrade and Pat Kent.

Baby Annabelle is Jamie and Colton’s first born child and everyone is very excited about her arrival.

“Stevenson Memorial Hospital is excited about our first baby of 2016,” commented Bridget Mitchell, Manager of Obstetrics and Peri-Operative Services.  “All of our newborns are special, but it’s always fun to welcome the first baby of each New Year.  We’re honoured to help provide a memorable experience for this family and many others who choose to come to Stevenson Memorial Hospital for such a special occasion.”
