First Recipient of SMH Award of Excellence in Nursing
We are thrilled to announce that Michele 'Cookie' Cook is the first recipient of the SMH Award of Excellence in Nursing. This award recognizes a nurse who provides compassionate care, is dedicated to the field of nursing and has made a positive impact on the lives of others.
Cookie has been a nurse for 31 years, half of those at SMH and is well known and loved by our community and staff/physicians across the hospital. She goes out of her way to ensure our patients (especially our littlest patients) have a positive experience.
