Top honours for Stevenson OB staff
"There's no place like home."
Congratulations to the staff in our Obstetrics Unit for taking home top honours at the Alliston Potato Festival on the week.
A group of dedicated individuals, led by Jodi Walker and Kara Northgrave spent hours decorating a parade float to highlight the popular phrase from The Wizard of Oz.
Kara says the idea for this year's winning theme came from Stevenson's commitment to encourage families to plan births at their local hospital, close to home.
Stevenson's float won first place in the non-commercial category in the 40th annual parade, viewed by thousands along the route. It was a creative and colourful display, complete with a rainbow, yellow brick road, tornado and many of the popular characters from the classic movie.
Thanks to everyone who helped to plan and decorate the float and to those who represented Stevenson at the Friday evening parade. Great work!
