Community invited to tour Obstetrics Suite
Alliston – October 3, 2013 – Stevenson Memorial Hospital is inviting members of the community to learn more about the Obstetrics Suite and Maternal Child program at an open house and tour on Saturday, Oct. 19, 2013 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.
The annual open house provides an opportunity to celebrate Stevenson’s ongoing recognition as one of Ontario’s Top Performers in maternity care in a new report from National Research Corporation Canada (NRCC Picker Canada) and consistent 100 per cent patient satisfaction rates.
“Our dedicated staff, physicians and midwives are highly trained to provide exceptional care to moms, babies and families,” said Khem Persaud, Patient Care Manager Obstetrics, Peri-Operative and Dialysis.
“It is wonderful to share our good stories with the community and we are very excited to have an open house to showcase our birthing unit and the services we provide for mother and baby; including pain management and anesthetic options, prenatal and paediatric care and midwifery.”
The special event is also a chance for families and babies born at Stevenson to reunite and for hospital staff to assess the needs of the community.
