MSA Update

In 2008, Stevenson Memorial Hospital and Southlake Regional Health Centre established a Management Services Agreement (MSA) to outline the support, services and personnel that Southlake provides to Stevenson on an ongoing basis. Due to expire on December 31, 2013, both Boards believe that the MSA has served our respective organizations well and agree, in principle, that it should be renewed. Discussions continue to identify any new or revised terms that may be required before a new MSA is ready for approval.

In the interim, the current intention of the Stevenson Board is to allocate additional hours to the role of CEO, in order to support the continued progress and enhancement of our Hospital’s reputation as a trusted provider of exceptional health care services within the Central LHIN.

Annette Jones, Stevenson's current President and CEO, will return to Southlake on a full-time basis to resume her duties as Vice-President and Chief Nursing Officer. Annette’s last day at Stevenson will be December 31, 2013.

“As Stevenson’s part-time CEO, Annette successfully lead the development of a new and exciting five-year strategic plan and was instrumental in introducing a number of safety and quality initiatives that resulted in our Hospital earning Accreditation with Exemplary Standing from Accreditation Canada,” said John Swinden, Chair of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Board of Directors. “We are confident that Annette's time spent at Stevenson will serve her well as she continues along her career path, and we wish her all the best.”

Consistent with the terms of the existing MSA, a process to recruit a new CEO at Stevenson will commence shortly.
