RBC Volunteers Brighten Hallways of Mary McGill Mental Health Centre with Fresh Coat of Paint
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
[New Tecumseth, ON – August 31, 2018] – On Saturday, August 25, a dedicated team of six RBC Royal Bank Volunteers rolled up their sleeves and painted the stairwell of the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Mary McGill Health Centre. Using the paint and supplies kindly donated by our community partners, the RBC volunteers spent the Saturday morning completing this important work.
“It’s the beginning of a wonderful initiative that not only myself, but RBC fully supports” explains Natalie Conlon, Community Manager, RBC Royal Bank. “These are not small tasks, this is not something that can happen as individuals but together I truly believe that we are stronger, and this is just a start!”
In addition to the volunteer hours that were contributed, the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation has been approved to receive a gift of $1000.00 from the RBC Team Grant.
“RBC has provided an amazing example of what community support can look like” said Jody Levac, President and CEO, Stevenson Memorial Hospital. “A few hours of work, and a couple cans of paint make a significant difference in the experience that a person will have walking through our halls. Your support can take on many forms, and we’re truly appreciative of the active and engaged community we have here!”
We thank the generous community supporters who have made the “Roll Up Your Sleeves” for Stevenson revitalization project possible. Thank you to Alliston Home Hardware Building Centre for donating 265 Gallons of Beauti-Tone paint, and Wilton’s Floor and Wall Coverings for donating the painting supplies that have made this initiative possible.
If you or your organization would like to make a donation in kind or organize a volunteer painting group, please reach out to the Foundation office at foundation@smhosp.on.ca.
