SMH Launches Paediatric Clinic

[New Tecumseth, ON – Feb. 12, 2025] Stevenson Memorial Hospital (SMH) is excited to announce the opening of a new Paediatric Clinic, set to launch on February 25, 2025. This clinic will provide dedicated paediatric care, led by Dr. Jessica Gillam, an experienced paediatrician from Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre (RVH), and is designed to help meet the growing healthcare needs of children in the community. The Paediatric Clinic will operate one day a month and will be located in the hospital’s Outpatient Department on the second floor.
Key Details:
• Referral required: The clinic operates by referral only and is not a walk-in service. Families and individuals interested in utilizing the clinic must contact their family physician/primary care provider to obtain a referral.
• Frequency: The clinic will be offered once per month, with the possibility of expanding based on demand and physician availability.
• Patient care criteria: The clinic will focus on general paediatric care and will not address acute illness, emergency care, behavioural or mental health cases. General paediatric care includes patients with chronic illness, pain management, asthma and abnormal blood testing.
